At JAY NEPAL, we are committed to fostering lasting social change for marginalized, ignored, and oppressed populations, not only in Nepal, but with models that can be adapted and applied globally. Founded in the immediate aftermath of the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal, our mission has grown from immediate disaster relief to enhancing sustainable development in the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Through a hands-on, community-based approach, JAY NEPAL operates on the principles of inclusivity, empowerment, and sustainability. Our programs are designed to directly involve and benefit the local communities, ensuring that every initiative we undertake is respectful of local culture, environmentally friendly, and sustainable over the long term.
We build schools, provide quality education, and promote the rights of children and women. By focusing on education and empowerment, we strive to break cycles of poverty and enable communities, particularly in Nepal, to advocate for their rights and well-being.
In Nepal, our healthcare initiatives led to the establishment of the first Medical Center in Bodgaun, which in January 2024 became a Primary Hospital. It offers critical services such as emergency, general medicine, radiology, gynecology, pediatrics, and pharmacy services, significantly improving healthcare accessibility in remote areas.
We support local economic growth through sustainable farming training, infrastructure improvements, and the provision of clean drinking water. Our efforts aim to enhance living conditions by addressing critical needs and fostering economic self-reliance, serving as a blueprint for similar projects wherever there are needy communities around the world.
