Our foundation is proud to announce a groundbreaking initiative that embodies the spirit of
global unity and educational exchange. In collaboration with the visionary "Sophie Gerson
Healthy Youth" program, we have successfully forged a bridge of knowledge and friendship
between students in Nepal and their counterparts in New York. This achievement marks a
significant milestone in our journey towards fostering global citizenship and understanding
among the youth of today.
Special recognition is due to Alan Jerson, whose initial inspiration was the spark that
ignited this transformative program, and to Janet Elias, whose passionate and tireless
management has been instrumental in keeping the flames of this dream alive. We also extend
our heartfelt gratitude to Michael Harvey, a cherished friend and the catalyst for this
invaluable connection.
Central to the success of this program are our dedicated teachers, Abishek and Sobit Basnet
in Nepal. Their commitment and efforts have made it possible to establish these invaluable
connections from one of Nepal's most remote areas, allowing our students to engage with
peers across the globe. Witnessing our Nepali students making global friends and breaking
cultural barriers is a marvel that speaks volumes about the potential of collaborative
efforts in education.
This initiative is a testament to the power of connection, the beauty of education, and the
impact of heartfelt collaboration. It underscores our commitment to creating a future where
every child, irrespective of their geographical location, has the opportunity to connect,
learn, and grow alongside their global peers.
As we celebrate this achievement, we are reminded of the collective effort and spirit of
cooperation that has made this possible. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved
in this project. Together, we are making the world a smaller, friendlier, and better place,
one child at a time.
Join us as we continue to expand this program across more schools in Nepal, aiming to
empower students with global perspectives and opportunities for cross-cultural learning, by
connecting them with schools in the United States. Together, we can cultivate a generation
of informed, compassionate global citizens, ready to contribute to a more inclusive and
connected world.
