Outreach programme

At Jay Nepal, we understand that healthcare is not confined to the walls of a hospital or clinic. We believe in reaching out to our community members where they live, work and play, ensuring that healthcare services are accessible to all, regardless of the circumstances. Through our comprehensive outreach programme, we strive to address the diverse healthcare needs of our community and promote health and well-being at the grassroots level.

 Themes

Our Model

We recognise that healthcare access is not always straightforward, which is why we take a proactive approach to bring healthcare services directly to the doorstep of those in need. Our outreach programme goes beyond traditional healthcare delivery models, comprehending that patients, health professionals and community members alike can benefit from services that meet them where they are. Whether it is through medical camps, mini camps, home visits or disease outbreak response efforts, we are committed to ensuring that no one is left behind.

Key Components

Medical Camps

The Jay Nepal NGO, organizes regular medical camps in various communities, bringing together a team of doctors, paramedics and volunteers to provide essential free healthcare services to hundreds of individuals in a single day. These camps serve as a lifeline for those who may not have easy access to healthcare facilities, offering diagnosis, treatment and preventive care services.

Testimonial

Mini-medical camps

In addition to larger medical camps, the organization conducts mini camps in specific communities for targeted healthcare interventions. These mini camps allow us to address specific health needs or concerns within a particular population, providing tailored healthcare services to those who need them most.

Monthly home visits

The outreach team conducts monthly home visits to monitor chronic patients and ensure that individuals receiving medications from our service area are adhering to their treatment plans. These home visits, supported by a rural healthcare outreach programme drafted by the Technical Committee of our hospital, allows to provide personalized care and support to patients in their own environments, promoting continuity of care and improving health outcomes.

Disease outbreak response

In times of disease outbreaks, such as Dengue or Tuberculosis, the outreach team springs into action, mobilizing resources and personnel to provide timely interventions and support to affected communities. By proactively addressing disease outbreaks at the community level, we strive to prevent further spread and minimize the impact on public health.

Health awareness

We strongly believe that health awareness can be as effective as therapies, if not more, to conduct a healthy life. Knowing that an incorrect lifestyle can lead to serious illness is unfortunately not granted when it comes to rural areas. Likewise, people who struggle to eat could not understand the significance of some hours "lost" at the hospital for a simple check-up. Our major commitment is to make people understand that disease prevention is much more effective than their treatment; for this reason, we organize regular health presentations destined to children of local schools and to adults, addressing in a simple way crucial topics such as sexual and cardiovascular health, vaccine-preventable diseases, food education and dangerous habits like smoking or alcohol consumption.

Through our comprehensive outreach program, we are dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare access and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to lead a healthier life.
